The new Xtreme Vac by ODB

The new Xtreme Vac by ODB debris collection machine, DCL800SM, with a three axis hydraulic boom was introduced at the ODB Spring Equipment Show held in Raleigh, NC on April 24th. This value added street maintenance equipment provides advancements in debris collection requested by our customers. ODB president, Greg Heyer, said, “ODB is very excited about the positive quality and performance enhancements that have been made to the DCL800. We are appreciative to all our customers who gave us great input and feedback to validate many of the changes that were implemented to meet their debris collection needs”.
Moving forward in the debris collection industry means always listening to the voice of our customer and seeking positive improvements through innovative thinking and continuous improvement. It became apparent that many product options made available on previous models were so popular with our customers that the ODB engineering department, led by Robert Mayes, decided to make those features standard on the new DCL800 truck version and tow-behind self-contained models. Many refinements to the hydraulics utilized in the boom and hoist systems, such as using a tandem load sense hydraulic to promote speed and fuel efficiency, were implemented.
