Sweeper Summit 2019 – Success in Stone Mountain, GA

The 8th Annual Sweeper Summit & Equipment Expo was another sweeping success! Held at the beautiful Evergreen Marriott Resort & Conference Center in Stone Mountain, GA, this year’s Summit focused on educational sessions and round table discussions on how to make our businesses better by learning from each other. The sessions were led by the 1-800-SWEEPER Board members and their Partner committees discussing technology, marketing, training, maintenance, and safety. “The sharing of information is so important to our partners, they learn from one another and see the value of being connected and sharing information. The implementation of our new partner exclusive Mechanics Forum will also aid in sharing knowledge. This new forum will help in solving mechanical issues all of us experience on a daily basis. We are excited to roll this forum out to our partners and mechanics” says Ben Steyer, Executive Director of 1-800-SWEEPER.
Also on site was the popular hands-on equipment expo. All major manufacturers we present including our Title Sponsor Elgin, Schwarze, TYMCO, XBroom, Well Made, Victory, Stewart-Amos and Nite Hawk. Other industry suppliers included United Rotary Brush, NAPA, Chevron/Texaco, Suburban Propane, Cross Insurance, Truckers B2B, Goodyear, Liquitube, Eagle Eye, among others. “Our vendor partners are very important to us, they support 1-800-SWEEPER and the Summit. Both manufacturers and suppliers alike were well represented in Stone Mountain and we thank them for their continued support” says Carolyn Bell, Program Director of the Sweeper Summit.
The Sweeper Summit was November 6th-8th and consisted of 1-800-SWEEPER Partners, vendors and invited guests. All attendees enjoyed a welcome cocktail reception, sponsored by Schwarze, in our indoor vendor display area on Wednesday evening, an outdoor Southern-style lunch, sponsored by Victory Sweepers, in the lakefront Pavilion complete with a wood-burning fireplace, a hands-on equipment show and a group dinner, sponsored by United Rotary Brush, at the Commons Golf Club. Attendees also enjoyed what Stone Mountain had to offer by climbing the mountain on foot or taking the Skyride to the top, golf and the many trails and activities Stone Mountain had to offer.
We are already planning Sweeper Summit 2020. We are going back to Las Vegas and to the Hilton Lake Las Vegas, November 12th-13th. Stay tuned for updates on next year’s event! By: Carolyn Bell, 1-800-SWEEPER
